Beesands is a short walk down the hill by the road (as we didn't have a map we didn't try the longer footpath route), where you can find an excellent but quite pricey fish and chip place and the Cricket Inn pub. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quiet, peaceful camping in a great location. It’s situated on an estuary within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which means its stunning scenery is washed by calm turquoise waters. The views across the pond to the sea were fabulous & it was wonderful to sit outside and watch or listen to the birds in the nearby woodland (including an owl, although not spotted sadly). Very helpful and accommodating staff. I like the way they've planned the pitches so you have bags of room, and it is a lovely peaceful site.
